Vancouver 2010 Winter Paralympic Games – Girls come 6th in Slalom

If you weren’t able to catch the girls live on www.paralympicsport.tv or Eurosport then you’ll be pleased to here that Kelly and Claire have placed 6th in the Slalom event at Whistler Creekside this afternoon.

Kelly and Claire were placed 8th after the first run, a massive 10 seconds out from Austrian, Sabine Gasteiger, who had the lead with a first run of 55.90 secs.The Girls produced a solid 2nd run moving from 8th to eventually place 6th overall. The rakings remained from the first run, Gold: Sabine Gasteiger, (Austria), Silver: Viviane Forest (Canada), Bronze: Jessica Gallagher (Australia).

Kelly and Claire have put in a great debut performance at the games and will have a day off to prepare for their next event Giant Slalom on Tuesday.
